FABPREFAB is an Australian independently owned and operated prefabrication and modular residential construction company.

We design and build smart and sustainable homes that are better, not bigger. With a focus on comfort, efficiency and aesthetics, FABPREPAB's approach is firmly centred on great design, quality, and creating true value for money.

Designing houses. Building homes.

Minima

Minima is a cleverly compact and crafted small footprint home: a 'tiny house', rural retreat, suburban studio or backyard room designed by the award-winning team at TRIAS

The standard module can be configured as a mini apartment - containing a built-in couch, fold-down bed and table, kitchenette and bathroom - or can be simplified as a home office. The double module, which is arranged as a T-shaped compact house, expands to include a separate living room, dining area and kitchen, and a bedroom and bathroom. The design of Minima is simple, elegant and functional, making it a beautiful and timeless addition to any garden, backyard or rural property.

Minima is built from pre-fabricated cross-laminated timber panels, which are both strong and sustainable. This natural timber finish lines the interior, creating a warm, welcoming and healthy environment. Minima has been thoughtfully designed for affordable, low-impact living, with plentiful storage, cleverly integrated furniture and generous openings that seamlessly connect inside and out.

Courtyard
House

The Courtyard House, designed by the award-winning team at CHROFI draws upon the traditions of the Australian rural home by reinterpreting the iconic Australian veranda and garden as mediating elements that encourage a more engaged relationship to the land.

The verandah is enlarged to become an outdoor room for living and dining while the house is wrapped around a courtyard garden to provide protection while bringing light and views of the garden into the daily experience of the house.

The organisation of flexible living areas around the garden also provides an unexpected sense of space in a building normally dictated by narrow proportions.

About FABPREFAB

FABPREFAB offer our clients a total prefabricated building solution with all the benefits of a beautiful Australian architecturally-designed home – but without the hassle and complications of a conventional construction process.

Our modular and prefabricated buildings will be made at our production facility (currently under construction) in Somersby on the Central Coast of New South Wales. This will allow us to ensure the highest production standards, efficient management of costs and timeframes, and meticulous quality control measures.

Our Philosophy

At FABPREFAB, we believe transparency, trust, and integrity are essential to the long-term success of our business and serving our customers, community and the environment well.

FABPREFAB wants to help drive the shift towards prefabricated and modular houses in Australia and, with it, a more sustainable approach to building that champions a low environmental footprint, higher efficiency, and waste minimisation.

FABPREFAB will practice this philosophy firsthand within our business through the construction of our permanent factory, which will be solar powered, and our office, which will be built with new, environmentally friendly, Australian-produced cross-laminated timber (CLT). We are also committed to regularly introducing technologies and new materials that will improve the social and environmental impact of our buildings.

FABPREFAB – Designed and built with purpose.
